The Depressive and the Psychopath - At last we know why the Columbine killers did it. By Dave Cullen
Most Americans have reached one of two wrong conclusions about why they did it. The first conclusion is that the pair of supposed “Trench Coat Mafia outcasts” were taking revenge against the bullies who had made school miserable for them. The second conclusion is that the massacre was inexplicable: We can never understand what drove them to such horrific violence.
But the FBI and its team of psychiatrists and psychologists have reached an entirely different conclusion. They believe they know why Harris and Klebold killed, and their explanation is both more reassuring and more troubling than our misguided conclusions.
which are here spoken of as they appear to vulgar eyes, without distinguishing between the planets and the fixed stars, or accounting for their number, nature, place, magnitude, motions, or influences; the scriptures were written, not to gratify our curiosity and make us astronomers, but to lead us to God, and make us saints.

Having linked to a post which was (justifiably in my view) critical of some aspects of the blogs4God portal, I should also express my gratitude for the work that Dean and the other moderators put in to the site.
As Paul said to the Corinthians before he started laying in to them: I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way–in all your speaking and in all your knowledge…
DavidDave has a story about a university Christian Union that has been banned by the Student’s Union because it’s run by Christians!
Bene Diction has a rant at the narrow focus of Christian blog portals.
It’s certainly hard to find UK Christian blogs. Out of over 1000 blogs listed on blogs4god , only about 20 are from the UK.
Alison Hawke maintains the UK God Blog list (from the US!) with 41 blogs listed. Hardly any of these are Evangelical blogs — Adrian Warnock is one of the notable few.
Of course, Christian bloggers are the intersection of two demographics which are both smaller minorities in the UK than in the states. Maybe UK Evangelicals just don’t blog. UK Christians tend to be less politicised than in the US and (to make a rather sweeping generalisation) are less inclined to see the world in black and white terms, so are perhaps less inclined to punditry.
Speaking of which, this is a good opportunity to put in a plug for my favourite UK Christian blog, Richard Hall at connexions, who shows that it is possible to be both thoughtful and to take the Bible seriously.
